The Commission Report

The Commission Report is unique in that it specifically analyses data from the Team Members section of bookings. This report is ideal for tracking and evaluating the commission earned by each team member based on booking information.

Setup

The data used in the Commission Report is extracted from this part of the booking:

You can setup your options for this section in Settings > Team Member Roles where once setup are then available to choose to add as a default to all bookings or to select by clicking the ‘Add new team member’ button.

Calculation

The above example is showing 20% commission for Amy Trantor and 10% for Ben Jones. These are percentages of the overall commission amount entered in the Financial Details section of the booking.

So in this example, Amy will be assigned £40.00 and Ben £20.00.

Report Filtering

There are several customisable options available in the Commission Report. As with most reports you can filter by contact (Artist / Agent / promoter, for example) you can also select how many months of commission to include and compare figures to the previous year.

In the Details section on the right-hand side of the page, you can choose that the report displays either the ‘commission’ amount earned by the agent or ‘profit’ that the company has made. Additionally, if you need to convert currencies, you can use the currency conversions stored in Settings > Currency Conversion Rates.

This report is an excellent tool for calculating and analysing the commission and profit generated by your team. As with most reports in Overture, you can easily export the data to CSV for further analysis.
